Trainers

Lets start with the basic. Trainers will train their pokemon, heading from town to town and battling gym leaders when possible. There are eight gyms in Bistre, and an undefined pokemon league. As always, they receive a pokedex and are encouraged to 'Catch 'Em All!' However, trainers do not have access to baby pokemon without the help of breeders, and should contact them whenever possible for help in this matter, and for "trading" pokemon with NPCs. NPCs can have pokemon not found in the wild, and Breeders can sometimes convince them to breed them so that they can become accessible to the main characters.

Breeder

Breeders progress will be tracked through what will be labeled a PokePort. Like a passport, it is a booklet made to collect stamps, and similar to a trainer card, it works as an ID and validates their travels. Pokeports have twenty two pages: one for identification, fifteen for stamps of each egg group, five for special achievements, and one to be licensed as an official pokemon breeder. Most stamps can be obtained through pokemon centers, although others will be announced later on. The five special achievement stamps are awarded for five fields of happy pokemon, one is for egg hatching. Upon starting your pokemon journey you will actually receive an egg for good measure, when it hatches any pokemon center will reward you for this achievement. Another achievement stamp is given for adequate healing / bandaging skills, a test which can be performed at select pokemon centers. There is also an achievement stamp for communication in which a breeder must battle against a licensed individual without verbally communicating with their pokemon, unlike winning badges, you needn't win this battle, so long as it is clear a bond was made. The last two achievement stamps are for healthy / glossy pokemon, and knowledge of pokemon food, the latter of which must be proven with pokemon not owned by the breeder.

Coordinators

Bistre has some big Pokemon Contests, and five stadiums dedicated to this type of battling throughout its land. Every two weeks a different theme (ie. cool, tough, beauty, smart, and cute) of contest is held in any one stadium. In other words, a coordinator could stay in any one city and earn five differently themed ribbons if they so desired. Each contest will consist of five NPCs, considering all main character coordinators are in the same location, and it will be organized in tournament fashion. Ribbons will be distributed to the top four ranking members. First place will receive a gold ribbon for the theme of the contest, second place will receive a blue ribbon, and the two individuals who lost in the semi-finals will receive green ribbons. No matter the color, you need one ribbon for each theme to participate in Bistre's Grand Festival, the rules of which will be discussed at a later date.

Researcher

Your progress will not be tracked by the same means as the previous three positions. More accurately you could be labeled, a field worker, running around Bistre performing tasks for pokemon professors, aids and various other individuals of import. All the while you are expected to gather a great knowledge of pokemon and after an (as of yet unspecified) amount of time, you will be given the option to upgrade to the rank of an aid to a professor, either researching something specific about pokemon in the wild, or settling in a lab for lighter work.

Photographer

Like the researcher, your position has little progress to be tracked, and in fact, you have much less direction on your travels. You could also be labeled, a drifter, scaling cliffs and weathering seas to get emotionally moving pokemon photos to be sold at the highest price. There is little more to be said.
